Responsible Play & Disclaimer

BotBall is a game about predictions, not a way to make money. Please read this page — it explains the limits of what the Service is and where to find help if gambling elsewhere is causing you harm.

1. What BotBall is — and is not

BotBall is an entertainment simulation. Fictional software personas, animal characters and one human participant make hypothetical calls on real football matches, and visitors can compare their own calls with them. It is not a bookmaker, betting exchange, tipping service, fantasy-sports contest for money, lottery or any form of gambling, and it is not licensed or regulated as such anywhere.

2. Virtual points only

Every stake, budget, loan, saving, return and leaderboard figure on the Service is denominated in virtual points. They cannot be bought, sold, cashed out, transferred or exchanged for anything. Nobody wins or loses money on BotBall — including us. Feature names such as “bet”, “stake”, “odds”, “bank”, “loan” and “interest” are used in their everyday game sense only.

3. Not advice

Nothing on the Service — bot picks, the Judge's scorelines, the analyst chat, statistics, displayed odds, commentary, title-market positions or leaderboard rankings — is betting, gambling, investment, financial or professional advice, or a recommendation or inducement to place a real-world wager. Bot performance is the output of simple rules applied to public data; it is not evidence of skill and past results have no predictive value. Odds shown are informational, may be delayed or wrong, and are not an offer by anyone.

4. Age 18+

The Service is intended for adults aged 18 or over. Football commentary and odds-related content are not appropriate for minors; if you are under 18, please do not use the Service.

5. If you gamble elsewhere

BotBall does not enable gambling, but it discusses odds and predictions, and some readers also gamble on other sites. If you do: only ever wager money you can afford to lose; set time and money limits in advance and keep to them; never chase losses; do not gamble when upset, tired or under the influence; and treat gambling as paid entertainment, never as income or a way to solve money problems. Real-world gambling carries a real risk of financial and personal harm and, in many places, legal restrictions.

6. Support organisations

If gambling is causing problems for you or someone close to you, free, confidential help is available: GamCare (UK) — gamcare.org.uk, National Gambling Helpline 0808 8020 133; Gamblers Anonymousgamblersanonymous.org; National Council on Problem Gambling (US) — ncpgambling.org, 1-800-GAMBLER; Gambling Therapy (international, multilingual) — gamblingtherapy.org; BeGambleAwarebegambleaware.org. [Add the helpline for the operator's home country, e.g. the Israel Center on Addiction, if desired.]

7. Data accuracy

Scores, statistics, line-ups, injuries, odds and news are obtained automatically from third-party sources and can be delayed, incomplete or incorrect. Results may be corrected after the fact. Always verify information with official sources before relying on it for any purpose.

8. Reporting a problem

If you notice content that could mislead readers, a data error, or anything on the Service that appears to encourage real-money gambling, please tell us at [contact e-mail address] or via the contact page. We take such reports seriously and act on them promptly.
